Took this pic of my wagon with my buddy’s RA60 Celica a while back, before he moved to Japan.

It feels so weird that all the "shitty cars of my childhood" are now cool again (to be fair, they weren't really shitty, but as kids we thought they were). I actually had a dream the other night that I found my old roommate's '86 Cressida and bought it. So weird.

And he has louvers!

The only thing a Cressida needs to be really great is a manual trans. The auto just keeps the revs so low that the 5M never gets a chance to open up. Not that there’s a lot of power there anyway, but good lord does a 5M sound good when thrashed.

Yep. Before he got the job offer and moved to Japan, he was going to put a CelicaSupra rear bumper on it (painted vs black foam) and modify his other hatch spoilers to run both louvers and the full double-wing.

The build quality of my Celica is quite good, compared to my Tacoma which is plagued with rattles since new.

Wheels look great on the Cressida. Of course they would look great on anything.
